Beautiful terraces, hidden gems and gardens with breathtaking views of Lake Como. It is a great alternative to Villa Monastero, which is worth considering if you are planning a photo shoot in a villa on Lake Como.
Bellagio - the pearl of the Como Lake
Bellagio, next to Varenna, is the second most popular and quite touristy spot on Lake Como. Prices here are higher than in other places. There is also a green park and a lakeside promenade — however, during the season and on weekends off-season, it can get very crowded. For this reason, I recommend doing the photo shoot either in the park, directly by the lake, or at Villa
Melzi.

Menaggio
A nice alternative to Varenna. Easy to reach from the west side of the lake (near Lenno and Tremezzo). Menaggio has a pretty lakeside with green and iron gazebos, walking paths with great views of the lake. On my website you can find photos from the last session in Menaggio. The easiest way to get here is by ferry from Bellagio or Varenna. From Lenno and Tremezzo you can reach Menaggio by road.

A town located on the western side of Lake Como, between Lenno and Menaggio. It is easy to reach by car from both towns. Tremezzo is definitely calmer than Varenna or Bellagio.

Nesso
I recommend this town because it’s not very popular and is a bit different from the others. There is access to Ponte della Civera, but the route is quite challenging. Unfortunately, parking is difficult here, so it’ s easier to reach by boat, for example, during a private tour. I mention this place because it’ s quite scenic and unique compared to the other towns.
What you need to know before photo session in villas on Lake Como?
Book in advace - the photo session in villa is great idea and you can be sure the scenery will be stunning. But remember book in advance especially in summer season. The villas have limited spot and some places you need book even 3 months before photo session.
Be sure about the conditions - the villa's politic depends on the venue and even if you are cooperate with the professional planners, you need be informed about the conditions.
Not each villa is not available for exclusive hire - especially if you're planning secret intimate proposal, you need know that even if you book your venue, especially in the garden there can be other guests.
Prepayment required – it may be the case that the villa requires prepayment before the photo shoot. This is dependent on the internal regulations of the estate.
Time duration - most properties allow photo sessions for a specific time, e.g. 2 hours, and these can be strictly adhered to
